For K-12 Schools

Welcome to EOP EVALUATE! This tool is designed to help you evaluate an existing school emergency operations plan (EOP) against the guidelines set forth in the Federal Guide for Developing High-Quality School Emergency Operations Plans (School Guide). EOP EVALUATE for K-12 Schools is set up to help you determine the extent to which your existing plan aligns with the recommendations made by the U.S. Departments of Education, Homeland Security with the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Justice with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Health and Human Services, specifically, the planning principles, six-step planning process for plan development, and the structure of your plan, as set forth in the Federal guidance. The process of completing this tool will take you through the Federal guidance itself, and reading and responding to the prompts provided will help illustrate the concepts and recommendations provided in the School Guide. You may use this tool to help identify areas for plan enhancement, recognize strengths in your existing plan, and/or to learn more about the recommendations set forth in the Federal guidance. Please note that completion of this tool requires some familiarity with the School Guide and the terminology used therein, and assumes the user possesses extensive knowledge of the content of their school or district EOP. Upon completing EOP EVALUATE for K-12 Schools, your responses will result in a customized downloadable report containing a variety of additional resources and information relevant to your needs. This tool should take approximately 18-25 minutes to complete. Please note that no information is recorded during this process; your responses are used only to generate your customized report, and no data remains in our system upon completion and download of the report.
