EOP Assess - A Self-Assessment Tool for Planning Team Members and Safety Leaders

The REMS TA Center’s EOP EVALUATE tool is designed to help you evaluate an existing emergency operations plan (EOP) against the guidelines set forth in the federal guidelines. It contains questions about your education agency’s EOP and will help identify areas for improvement. EOP EVALUATE is framed around the Guide for Developing High-Quality School Emergency Operations Plans, the Guide for Developing High-Quality Emergency Operations Plans for Institutions of Higher Education, and The Role of Districts in Developing High-Quality School Emergency Operations Plans by the U.S. Departments of Education; Homeland Security, with the Federal Emergency Management Agency; Justice, with the Federal Bureau of Investigation; and Health and Human Services. This tool is ideal for members of core and ad hoc planning teams that already have an EOP. Teams may use this tool to help identify areas for plan enhancement and recognize strengths in your existing plan.

You will receive a customized downloadable report upon completion of the tool, which should take approximately 18-25 minutes. Your responses are used only to generate a customized report; no data will remain in the REMS TA Center system upon completion and download of the report.

Let’s get started! All fields are required.
