EOP ASSIST Interactive Workbook - A Plan Generator Tool for Planning Team Members and Safety Leaders

The EOP ASSIST Interactive Workbook was released by the REMS TA Center in order to expand the reach of the EOP ASSIST software application to K-12 education agencies that prefer use of an offline version of the tool. The EOP ASSIST Interactive Workbook is accessible via a PDF viewer and Microsoft Word—with or without an Internet connection—and includes the same content of the Web-accessible version, including a blend of guidance and interactive forms that prompt users through the six-step planning process to develop a high-quality school emergency operations plan (EOP), as well as related resources to support that process. Educational entities are welcome to further distribute the workbook to supplement and complement their capacity-building efforts. Read more in our EOP ASSIST Interactive Workbook Flyer and share with others.

The EOP ASSIST Interactive Workbook is available in English and Spanish and includes two parts: (A) instructions and (B) worksheets for inputting plan information. Each of these parts, as well as more information on them, is accessible below. Please be sure that you have both parts of the EOP ASSIST Interactive Workbook.

  • Part A: Instructions walks users through the six-step planning process; prompts users to enter plan information (into Part B); and includes guidance, resources, and examples. The REMS TA Center also offers (by request) Part A as a Microsoft Word document so that state agencies, regional education agencies, school districts, and schools can customize this portion of the tool according to state or local requirements for EOPs.

  • Part B: Worksheets is filled out by users and is ultimately converted into a customized and comprehensive EOP, according to the instructions in Part A.
