DEVELOPING MEMORANDA OF UNDERSTANDING (MOUS) FOR ENHANCING EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS IN THE SCHOOL SETTING

Duration: 45 to 60 min.

Objective: This course has been developed to help you understand memoranda of understanding (MOUs) and how they can help strengthen school emergency operations plans. Learn about basic components of MOUs; types of community partners that schools may want to consider developing an MOU with; strategies for creating MOUs in the school and school district setting; and how MOUs can enhance collaboration and coordination to support school emergency preparedness. This course is recommended for members of core planning teams, as well as school, school district, and community partner personnel with a role and/or responsibility in school safety, security, emergency management, and preparedness.
