The Department‘s OSSS and its REMS TA Center hosted a Webinar to highlight strategies that K-12 education agencies can use in collaboration with their team of multidisciplinary community partners to modify and enhance efforts to practice school emergency operations plans (EOPs). During the Webinar, OSSS and the REMS TA Center shared recommendations from Federal partners specific to developing, practicing, and enhancing high-quality school EOPs through a variety of exercise types, including drills, tabletop exercises, virtual simulations, and more. Additionally, the REMS TA Center explored new considerations about modifying exercises and drills in the face of the pandemic and efforts education agencies can take to protect the whole school community.
Presenters for this Webinar were Madeline Sullivan, Management and Program Analyst of the Department’s OSSS; Bronwyn Roberts, Strategic Director of the REMS TA Center; and Janelle Hughes, Project Director of the REMS TA Center. The presentation concluded with a question-and-answer session and was followed by a Twitter Chat.
