A Closer Look

This Federal guidance, developed as part of the Guide for Developing High-Quality Emergency Operations Plans for Institutions of Higher Education provides information on six key topics that support emergency operations planning including, but not limited to, The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, information sharing (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), incorporating international students into IHE emergency management and planning, campus public safety, active shooter situations, and psychological first aid.
